Disabilities

The AALRC and its Disabilities Project Manager are committed to helping adult education and literacy programs in Arkansas address the needs of their adult students who have disabilities. This committment includes providing:

  • Local and statewide training opportunities for program personnel;
  • Resource and referral information;
  • Individual consulting as requested by programs;
  • Information about new research and legal issues related to providing effective and appropriate services for adults with disabilities.

This website provides current information about all of the above topics and more. If you have questions about anything on the site or about specific disabilities-related service provision, please contact Patti White, AALRC Disabilities Project Manager at prwhite@madisoncounty.net.

Programs can order books on tape for students with disabilities through the AALRC's RFB&D membership. Click here for more information.
